Directed by Adam Arkin and Nina Lopez Corrado, the crime thriller series ‘American Hostage’ centers on beloved Indianapolis radio reporter Fred Heckman, who is thrust into a life-or-death crisis when hostage-taker Tony Kiritsis demands to be interviewed on his popular radio news program. The eight-episode first season of the anthology is a 1970s psychological thriller inspired by the true 1977 Indianapolis standoff and based on the scripted podcast of the same name.
‘American Hostage’ stars Jon Hamm (as Fred Heckman), with Giovanni Ribisi (as Tony Kiritsis), Mireille Enos (as Barbara Heckman), William Jackson Harper (as Ben Hairston), Kristoffer Polaha (as Dick Hall), Jonathan Tucker (as FBI Special Agent Cormac McNally), and Kat Cunning (as Ibby Hall).
