Are you wondering what the A-list is? The A-list is the top hot nightclubs in Los Angeles. This is where you go to see if you can catch a glimpse of your favorite celebrity. Who knows whom you might find out partying? You may be able to see Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, Owen Wilson and so on.

However, if you are thinking that you will be able to party with them, you may want to think again. If you are not on the list, hence the A- list, then you will not be getting in. So just remember, what is hot now may not be the hot place tomorrow night. Every night has a different promoter, different music, and a different crowd. So if you feel lucky, here are some of the top nightclubs of the moment.

Hyde

Hyde is a small nightclub that can hold up to 100 people at a time. This is the place where celebrities are known to visit regularly. “Hyde” has made a rule to not allow cameras and press inside of the club. This allows for everyone to be themselves and not worry about who is taking pictures. So, if you are lucky enough to get in do not plan on a photo opportunity. Now, if you so happen to be waiting outside and a celebrity such as Lindsay Lohan walks by, you can take pictures of her there without violating any of the clubs rules. Just remember, to be considerate to her and her privacy.

Hyde draws quite the crowd and has had its share of incidents with celebrities over the past year. If you remember this is the club where Paris Hilton and Shanna Moakler got into a cat fight. It is said that Hilton accosted Moakler with the involvement of Stavros Niarchos. Moakler was supposedly pushed down the stairs after Stavros poured a drink on her head.

Hilton is not the only one to bring attention to Hyde. Apparently, Nicole Richie is said to have collapsed there after a heavy night of dancing and partying with friends.

So if celebrities are what you are looking for then this is the place. Just do not be surprised if you are not allowed in.

Area

This club has the décor of the 60’s but has the modern LED lighting on the dance floor. Within the club you have low- lying white leather couches and two bars on caramel terrazzo flooring. Your waitresses will be wearing thigh- high white boots, and offering exceptional bottle service. If while you are there you need some fresh air you can step through glass doors to an outdoor patio. Just remember, your name needs to be on the list.

While you wait to see if you make it through those doors you may want to look for some of the top celebrities like Penelope Cruz, Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan. It is said that Lindsay Lohan took a night off from her rehab program to come party here.

Privilege

Privilege has taken great pride in having the top DJ’s that LA has to offer. For instance, DJ Crash from the Playboy mansion has been known to play here on Thursday nights. This club wants to pamper its patrons with suede seating that is oversized for your comfort and suede banquettes. The ceiling is like being under the stars with its crystal chandeliers. The club has the theme of “Saint Tropez-on-Sunset” with bright whites and royal blue accents.

Privilege has had the opportunity to be the premiere destination for celebrities such as Christina Aguillera, Mick Jagger, Cameron Diaz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Paris Hilton, and Justin Timberlake. This is to just name a few. To ensure your name is on the list at the door call for table reservations and bottle service.

Finding the celebrities may not be to difficult if you know where to look. However, getting close enough to take a picture or to say hello may be impossible. Try to get on the A-list for a night of rubbing elbows with your favorite celebrity. It could be a night to remember.
