Ron Howard,who directed "Apollo 13", and has always loved space recently helped get this fine documentary off the ground. Its a wonderful gesture to our pioneers who dared to touch the stars.

Composer Phillip Sheppard,unlike most composers,came aboard from the very beginning of this project. By being able to look at the archives from NASA,including footage not seen or rarely seen,he was able to create this masterpiece. Be it from a solo piano and cello to the full might of a massive orchestra,choir and electronics,Sheppard's vision is just as bright and hopeful as the young men who bravely touched the moon.
